Hi! My name is Scarlet and I offer private, one-to-one dog training in Surrey and South London. I’m an Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) Registered Animal Training Instructor with a passion for helping dogs and their guardians work through training issues at any stage of life.

My approach to dog training

My training methods are rewards-based, implemented with a compassionate and methodical approach that promotes lasting results.
When you work with me, you can expect a holistic, personalised, and attentive experience, delivered in 1-to-1 sessions. Here are some of my core philosophies:

  • I work with all ages, breeds, and backgrounds.

  • I only use scientifically backed, and ethical training methods.

  • There is no ‘one size fits all’, every program is tailored for the individual dog, and owner.

  • I’m non-judgemental, empathetic and inclusive.

  • I draw from my extensive training at the Professional Association of Canine Trainers  (PACT).

  • My special areas of interest include Adolescence, Bull Breeds, Terriers and Predatory Behaviour.

Puppy Training
Package

Five private, 1-to-1 puppy training classes to introduce your pup to: house training, tackling nipping, chewing & jumping, crate training, recall, loose lead walking, play, socialisation and basic obedience. Purchase of packages includes WhatsApp support for 3 months. For puppies up to 1 year.

Dog Training
Package

Five private, 1-to-1 sessions to troubleshoot those pesky problems that often pop-up during adolescence and older. These sessions are more advanced than puppy sessions. I’ll look at your dogs breed, background and motivations. Purchase of packages includes WhatsApp support for 3 months.

  • I am based in Coulsdon, Croydon, which straddles the border of Surrey and South London. I’m therefore able to travel to your home in Surrey within a maximum of 1-hour to offer my 1-to-1, in-person dog training classes.

Working with me in person

Upon enquiring, we can set up a free discovery call, so I can learn more about you, and your dog. If you decide to join the Trained by Scarlet Pack, we can book an initial consultation, which is carried out in person. This is essentially an assessment (don’t worry, there is no pass or fail) of your dog to get a better view of what is going on and what your goals are. This is usually carried out in your home, or in a public place, depending on the issue.

After our consultation, I will then create a tailor made training plan suited to your needs, and we can start your training journey! You will receive video instructions of exercises after each session to help you follow along. Written breakdowns can also be provided upon request.

All of my packages and block bookings come with free WhatsApp support from the hours of 9am -5pm. This is like having a dog trainer in your pocket! Using WhatsApp, I can provide feedback, help, and support in the day-to-day while we work together.
